Hello and welcome to YellowLemon Weddings! I (Vanessa) decided to start this shop after creating products out of my own interest and love for all things wedding. After I created multiple fabulous items for my own wedding, I was bombarded with compliments and "orders" from friends and family. From boutonniere's, Cuff Links, Cake Toppers, and much more. So after gifting many of these items to friends and family, I thought I should start my own Etsy shop to share and sell! I then ran this idea by one of my best and most creative friends, Dana. Dana is much like me, always creating and baking spectacular things! Her specialty in the crafting world is amazing handmade cards. She agreed this would be a fun and creative adventure we could dive into. We created an inventory of product and "sat on it", telling ourselves "one day, one day". Dana has always had full time daily employment, me on the other had......I'm a part time kinda gal. So it wasn't until I became unemployed from my daily desk job as an administrative assistant in a real estate office that we really put the vision into play! So with a small re vamp(twice), and new products, we re opened our shop. I now put 100% of my daily effort into creating, packaging and shipping the handmade Etsy items, while Dana creates amazing items in her spare time! Our specialty in wedding items is boutonniere's and cuff links, but love creating anything and everything! As for our name you ask? YellowLemon Weddings, was actually our THIRD name, we started our shop with wedding and other general living products, but soon realized we wanted to focus solely on weddings. We wanted a name that by definition was creative, yet simple, beautiful, and individual. One definition of a YelloLemon flower is: "A perennial plant , often found growing in the nooks and crannies of an old wall or cliff, a very simple creative flower, isolated from the norm". We LOVED this definition of a YellowLemon flower, as we like to see the items in our shop as simple, unique, and that fill in the "nooks and crannies" of your wedding! There you have it, YellowLemon Weddings was created! We love etsy as buyers, and cannot wait to start the adventure as sellers! We hopefully look forward to expanding our inventory, starting an additional Etsy shop for lifestyle items, as well as starting up a blog on our daily ventures.
